Reward: Ten Years Good Luck
The jewel in the necklace Wendy wore for the wedding is still missing. I'm afraid to mow. Last seen on her when she was singing on stage. It is of particular significance since Lynn wore it on her wedding day as well. Any information leading to its whereabouts and recovery will result in ten years of good luck (and probably some big hugs).

Brent, I found that stone & set it on one of the ledges near where you keep the grill. I didn't know whose it was. Actually, I may have hung onto it. Let me know if you find it where I think I left it. I'll check at home, too, when I get ther tomorrow.
Talked to Deb, we do have it at home. We'll mail or you can pick it up—your call.
I was going to set it by your grill, but decided against it. I didn't think to ask around on Sunday morning so it ended up going to Texas with us. You can mow the lawn in peace.
northstar gone lone star, You so rock (pardon the pun).
I'm glad it'll be goin' home soon. Don't ask how I spotted it in the grass. It was near the food tent, I think. I remember showing it to someone and both of us commenting that someone was going to be missing such a pretty bauble.
Dude! Nice to see you here. I was going to log out-didin fact-but TV sucks & I've got nothing else to do tonight, so I'm back on.
Anything exciting in your world?
Happy anniversary! I like that you guys are so casual & comfortable that you actually forget the day. Glad you two have made it so far. It's major.
Mom is actually off to help with a sale in Dassel, MN, west of the cities. She & my step-father's kids are selling off a bunch of stuff from their Mom & Dad's house-plus stuff my Mom doesn't want since Roger passed away.
I wish you & the step-family success with your efforts.
Man, the weather here is PERFECT! Upper 70s during the day, 50' overnight. I love it.
northstar...
thank you thank you thank you... for finding the missing jewel!
it was my grandmother's, given to my mother, given to me on my wedding day = given to wendy to wear on her wedding day...
thanks and lots of love for scooping it up!
what's yer address?
kisses!
xx
I'm outside Ft. Worth. I'm happy to mail it wherever it needs to go to get back home. Just curious, is it an Aquamarine? 'Cause that's my birthstone. Perhaps it called to me, I don't know. I'm just glad Brent put up the post. Otherwise, who knows how long it would have been in our hands & lost from yours.
Hey Amigos, sorry to butt in on the conversation but I wanted to say.. I've lent keys to people for my apt in boston twice, and each time they tried to mail them back to me USPS, and both times whatever machines they use there couldn't handle the bulge and ripped the envelopes open and the keys got lost. I'd recomment splurging for the box, FedEx. Take care..
Dude, butt in any time. With our kids having been in Germany, Alabama, Tennessee, and Montana, we're pretty proficient with the sending of valuables. But your comment is well-taken. We will securely box that stone for shipping.
NORTHSTAR!!! I called you from the Econofoods grocery store parking lot to heap love and thanks upon you and your house! I can't believe you ended up with the holy bauble and that it will be returned, in tact, to Lucy. Brent and I have been searching and searching for it.... knowing it was out there somewhere.
Now, Brent can go back to making yard stripes and we get to say that the wedding went off without any tragedies in its wake. Relief. Huge relief!
And Lucy Goosey.... I can't thank you enough for bestowing the necklace upon me that day.... it couldn't have been a more perfect accessory to the dress. Something borrowed & blue .... something lost & bluer.... something brilliantly found!
By the way.... you might all want to read my latest essay on mentalcontagion.com. I tried (mightily) to recount some of the magic in words of our week in each other's embrace. I hope I got even 25% there. It was a struggle but a worthy effort.
Some time around 4:30 I couldn't get back to sleep and started reading your essays. I took a break or two, had some breakfast and got back at it. All I can say is.. I think you need a bigger forum.
Jewel found=best news I've heard in days.
With the world falling apart, this is a damn fine pickmeup!
Huzzah for the finder, findee, and the rest of us spectators!
Communion in Madison w/ The Rev. We are now in room, bottle of Jamie in tow (and also honey mustard pretzels!). Much over the table bouncing had at the Tornado on the back deck.... missed all of you.
And.... thank you for feedback on MC. That week was beyond words.... truly.... and so much love on, over and around all of you. But we try... don't we?.... to say..... something.
xo
Lucy, where should I send the stone? I can hand deliver it to Wendy next time I'm in the Cities. Or, I can sned it to you directly if you give me an address.
Wendy, I've been telling you for while now that your essays are wonderful. I gree with Franz that it would be great if you had a larger forum. I'm not sure how you'd achieve that. The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram recently put out a request for citizen commentators. You submit a 700-word essay & they choose several people for a 1-year publishing gig. They are owned by the same people as the Pioneer Press. Perhaps the PP has a similar program. Maybe you could check it out.
northstar,
you can just give it to wendy.
but, what is YOUR address?
xx
I'll have Wendy email it to you.
