Aunt & Uncle of the Navigator on their 50th!!!

This is the Navigator's beloved Aunt & Uncle John & Carolyn on their 50th wedding anniversary today. 5 great children, many amazing grandchildren. Down-to-earth and non-Republican (whoops, waxed political for a second...sorry!). I admire them so much, and it was our pleasure to attend this amazing event at the Cherokee Sirloin Room in West St. Paul today. Tonight (Monday morning) we leave on our crazy honeymoon that we've been awaiting so patiently. But, the waiting is good, because our marriage has been so GOOD and so wonderful. We wanted to leave earlier, but we could never have passed up this anniversary party of Uncle John and Aunt Carolyn --- they are inspirational. 50 years!!! there's so much else to say, but we love this family. John & Carolyn and their offspring are a very large part of it. Also great to see all my cousins and all my aunts and uncles there to acknowledge this milestone. Families need to stay connected like this, even within a world like ours where connections can be so diverse.

Anyway, what a great way to kick off our honeymoon -- after the 50th anniversary of a couple that we love so much!

Here we go!
