Best Dad ... Ever

This would be my Dad (Gary) and me. He's basically my best friend ... ever.

He came over today and helped me get the John Deere running (bad coil), so now sweet Wendy and I are prepared for the quickly growing grass. Thanks, Dad!! Much love ....

B,

Isn't great when Dad comes by to lend a hand & offer some good advice?

I really miss that. My Dad passed away the week before "Sept. 11th". I still miss him. Every time I have some project I'm having trouble with I think, "God I wish Dad was here." And then I smile remembering all the times he was.

Make the most of it, Dude.

Thanks, J ... those are some nice thoughts. I can't imagine how much I would miss my Dad if he was gone, but like you, I know I'd have a lifetime of great memories. Somedays I feel like the luckiest guy on the planet -- to be able to find Wendy down here in the country and then have my parents live a mile and half down the same road. It's incredible. Feels right.

Dad's are the coolest. I'm not sure what life would be like if I didn't have such a swell guy in my life.

I should totally sign you in as an administrator; then you could edit your posts without having to delete them! And yes, I'm up. And yes, it is a school night, and yes, I'm getting scholled by some coyotes right now --- bot, do they sound like devil-possessed children when they wail!

Oh, wait ... even as an administrator, I can't change the comments --- for instance: changing "bot" to "but" .... my bad.

..... And then in turn correct it to become "Boy" instead of "bot" or "but". I'll look into it, because this sure is a waste of tikme (time).

I don't think admin priveleges would be a good idea, B. I might start totally messin' with your gig.

Have a nice evening. Give the wife a squeeze for me.

I don't have a manuscript to work on but I have been forced to actually do some constructive activities in the absence of commenting on this blog.

C'mon, B. C'mon W. You guys must have something interesting or funny to say about your lives, politics, the environment, or Corky.

My Jones is getting bad.

This guy is the coolest--he just spent his day off with his grandson, Mitch! They had a great time, but I think Grandpa was ready for a nap! They have lots of fun! Everytime Mitch comes home from G&Gs he has learned something new: sometimes it's a smile, and sometimes it's making a new tooting noise! Cool Dads make even cooler Grandpas!

Gary is the love-a-ble jokster integra-teddy bear. But you have to watch it -- he's quiet and sneaky. Thanks for being all that.... and more.

Love U Gary!
