Scout and Father of Scout (W. Lee Lewis)

During his visit to see his grand-daughter Kitty starring in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lee has finally taken to enjoying the soothing rhythms of Dr. Chair (it's not so chilly out tonight). He'll be napping soon, I predict!

(Notice that Lee has his Dr. Chair driving hat on ....)

(Below) I rest my case.

How was Dad's neck after his nap? Looks like a painful awakening to me.

Is Lee wearing Merrill mocs?

Lee is, indeed, wearing Merrill mocs. The old man has always been a fashion nut especially where the shoes are concerned.... and you can tell a lot about a man from the shoes he wears.... right sugar Q?

And yes.... his neck survived the ride.

Where is that Sugar Q Super Dog? Haven't seen his name come up on here for quite a while.

Scout, have you read Corona's manuscript yet? It's a good one! Make sure she shares.

Cheers! Skol! Prost! Dosvedanya! Salud!

You should absolutely have some champagne, if for no other reason than you finished your book. But I mean it when I say it's good. Better even. It probably needs a little buffing from a professional after I send it back, but start agent or publisher hunting, Darlin', 'cause this one deserves a chance. (In my humble opinion.)

Speak kindly of me in your Author's Note.

Walter Payton was a fabulous running back for the Chicago Bears.

Peyton Manning is currently the hot, young-gun quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts.

Hershel Walker was another great running back. First for the Minnesota Vikings and then the Dallas Cowboys. Hershel actually lives not too far from my current home here in the DFW 'burbs.

Tim Duncan is a very talented foward/center for the San Antonio Spurs, currently playing in the NBA playoffs.

Hope that helps. You'll have to tell me about the Italian manuscript.

You can do it. One of our best road trips took us from Minneapolis to Burlington, VT and back. We stopped in Sandusky and Niaggra along the way. We absolutley loved the Adirondaks and Lake George. Our kids were about 8 and 4 at the time. Make it an adventure.

I know the feeling. Too much to do in too little time. And tickets for 4 is huge--we've done it a couple times. I hope it all works out for you. I'm still not sure we'll get to the wedding, either. And if we do, we'll have to visit all the family, etc. while we're there. It can be exhausting.

Unlike the current adminstration, we have a plan for the invasion--it's on our agenda. But sometimes plans change.

i wonder if the Vibratron 2000LX (aka Dr. Chair) has transporter capabilities.... it could take care of everyone's travel dilemmas here. i'll investigate.

meanwhile.... TC, I'll be reading you this weekend and it will be great to be reading the re-write from draft #1 last year (the year before?). i've got good wine to accompany my journey. LS, i really hope you can make the wedding (maybe you can do it in secret - i know how those trips home can be.... lots of duty calls) because after all that's been happening here, your presence would be sorely missed. SQ, you guys will figure it all out and you have the top bedroom in the house for 2, 3 or 4 of you.

i love you all, dammit.

Back to Super Dog: what is it you do and for whom? I think congrats on a promotion are in order, but are we really celebrating? Added responsibilities without added compensation and perks can be tough, so I hope you got a raise, at least.

And to all, I really do want to meet each and every one of you in person, hoist a few, and party our gonads off together. Let's hope it all works out for all of us.
