Road to the Home Area

Wendy was sweating like a stuck witch today out in the garden (the good witch of the midwest). Neighbors (Merle and Choch) brought us a bale o' straw for the garden. Allis-Chalmers striped the crap out of the yard. Kitty worked at the pharmacy all day. Trimmed some cedar trees. Mixed myself a Jameson and sour. Time to ease on into the evening ... with my Scout.

Is that really where you guys live? It looks like the country estate of the landed gentry.

We polished off a bottle of white wine earlier in the gazebo, went for a quick dip, and dined on cold boiled shrimp.

I know, that's the beauty of it all (part of it). I was thinking that the photo made us look like we're very wealthy .... but, in fact we're just very lucky (specially me!). I love this wealthy-looking scrapper house!

We had some black-eyed peas, tomato, sage, and shallots over some pasta. I'm still on the whiskey-sour. But, I did fill Kitty's car with gas (you know, the '84 Caprice) and it cost me $45 --- 22 gallon tank, I put in 21.7 gallons. I think sweet Kitty was runnin' on fumes!

I'll have to post a photo of Kitty's ride. It's only got 80,000 miles on it -- and maybe we pay in gas for the fact that Caprices of this era are actually illegal in demo derbies up here because they always win -- that makes us feel a little bit safer than the tin can folding qualities of the Mayo (bless its heart).

Ummmm,
which pharmacy does Kitty work for? I'm seeing this small universe warp in upon itself.....the pharmacy runs strong through you folks.
Me, I'd say flee the pharmacy and head for Cali...but I'm almost there.....

Is that you Mark? You were always one to head towards Cali -- even if on a tractor full of eight people.

(Sometimes, I hate these anonymous comments)

Really?
You have no way of knowing where this came from?
So I could pretend to be Mark and totally mess with you?
Wow this blog stuff has a lot of possibilities.......
I could be a Troll for all you know...
Alright, you got me.
I'm Eric Brenner.
Wait, was that my name?

Okay ... this is kind of fun, yet frustrating, too.

1) You could be someone I don't know named Eric Brenner.

2) You could be my grade school best buddy Eric Renner, which would be amazing and super-cool.

3) You could be someone I know who also knew Eric Renner, but thought his name was Brenner, and are trying to confuse me (which would be kinda funny).

or

4) You're a person who chose the fake name Eric Brenner, not knowing that I had a friend named Eric Renner.

So ..... fess up Schooner!

Yeah, I was walking to lunch when I remembered his name was Renner...
Dang!
Now, think...you've got the clues.
Schroomer+pharmacy+near Cali+knowledge of the legendary Eric Renner....
Well, now that's too easy.

Ooooh, that's real tempting...so many things flashing through my mind, how to respond as McBee...
but what if he found out? Would I get worse than guff?
I'll let that slide for now.

First off, Fatguy, you're talking about Rob McBee (the air-all-star wrestling moves "giving guff" guy more commonly referred to as "Tis-Bee"), I was referring to Ron McBee, the drummer who wore the Kiss shirts to school every day ... who actually called me last Fall for a tour of the studio, but I let his voicemail with his number expire, delete, and never got back to him - wanted to though.
