nah. We had an ice storm last week & may get one this coming Tuesday. It would be really, really rare to get enough snow for snowman making. I know you've gotten it though.
It's been colder than it should be here. Did my Xmas shopping with freezing rain coming down, and no one around here knows how to drive anyway. Saw 2 SUVs that had made it far, far off the road yesterday, and not intenionally. As Mr. James Brown said, "Slick!"
Now we're back to pouring rain of the non-frozen variety. Ahhhhh.
Mr. Reed. Nice to read your musings on the season. My best to you & yours.
I agree about the tree thing. I love a real tree in the house. Nothing beats the scent of pine or spruce or fir. It's clean and cleansing. It invigorates.
Since we're passing around funny stuff to read, I recommend this series. Start at the bottom of the list. They are all good, but perhaps "Homegrown Terror" is the best of them.
Hallo Folks! Just returned from 'sota, and since Scout & Navigator are heading further north for a while, and perhaps abandoning their high-tech lifestyle for the time being, I thought I'd toss up a comment... Hung with the clan, including the Rev, Buggy and Vickie, etc....thoughts projected forward to August, ideas are spinning wheels....and of course we thought of the extended clan. Good times had by all! Why we didn't work up a holiday post is beyond understanding. All those nights staying up until 4am...busy, busy, busy. Anyway, I hope everyone had a fine Christ-X, and have yerself a Happy New Year on top of it. Love to all!

Thanks for the Calvin & Hobbes fix. I really miss that comic strip. It has always been one of my favorites.

Oh yes, the grandeur of the Pacific NW. Fog, mist, drizzle, rain, rain, rain. More rain. But when the sun shines it is truly wonderful.
Where are you headed, TC? Is it a family thing?

You wear it well, girl. Many happy returns. Get yourself a great Italian redhead for the celebration.
Mrs. NSGLS will also turn 50 this year, in March. She wears it well, too. I do love women who age well.
Actually, I should have said I love well-aged women. I think the difference in semantics is obvious.
