Scout (Wendy), Future Spouse, and K-9 Scouts

It's important to patrol the area documenting signs of river life -- Eagles, Wild Turkeys, Fawns, Rabbits, DNR officers, and ever-elusive Panda Bear Cubs.

(Note: no fawns, DNR officers, or Panda cubs were spotted during this patrol).

Spring Cleaning/Wedding Prep Begins!

Since we're getting married in the yard, Wendy's been busy during this warm spell with a few tasks. She has trimmed and brushed Jack the dog and placed his discarded hair under an oak tree for birdies to use as nest-building material (she's got that McGyver thing happening). The flower garden has been raked and the clothes-line is back in service. I suppose I'll take a walk through the yard and pick up all the deer bones that the melted snow has revealed -- deer bone collecting is one of the dogs' Winter pass-times. There could be a Cedar tree coming down soon, too (sorry Dad, but it's choking a Blue Spruce!). Anyway, I guess it's time to remove ourselves from our laptops in front of the fireplace and open up the porch! Exciting ....
